Today I had seen a New Logo on GOOGLE home page. When I hovered over it I found the text “Anniversary of the first ascent of Mount Everest”. When I clicked on it I was taken to apage with search query as “mount everest ascent”.

I read about it on wikipedia and found very good information. The Great Trigonometric Survey of India established the first published height of Everest in 1856 at 29,002 ft. Nepal is getting very good revenue from the mountaineers as they are charging $25,000 for a permit to climb Mount Everest.
